Long Lost LP

Objective: Use photography to communicate a theme & concept for the redesign of an album LP.

Long Lost by Lord Huron: provides listeners with insight into a relationship that has ended. Songs reflecting on the time spent together, struggling to move forward, and feeling lost without one another.

Concept Sketches

To capture the essence of the album, I chose to shoot a pocket watch in a variety of places that could contrast the beauty & elegance of the object itself. With this concept in mind, I began sketching potential environments that would convey a feeling of being lost or out of place.

Photography Exploration

After conceptualizing, I began shooting various locations and angles to see which best communicated a sense of a relic that had been lost or left behind. Experimented by smashing the glass to reflect the breakup frequently mentioned throughout the album.
